weekend...

oh the weekend is sadly over & it is now Monday....
my weekend was fairly quiet.

I took a mini road trip up to springfield on Saturday to go have lunch with a friend & hang out. Saturday night I went down to parlay to eat dinner & watch the UK - Florida football game with the boys before they played down there. it was insane inside that place...three overtimes later.   sunday was a nice day of getting life back together... you know laundry & groceries & that sort of thing.   nothing too exciting for the weekend!   waiting for it to be Friday again because my best friend is in town for the weekend!!    

felix decided he wanted to come play in the ring yesterday morning.

five on friday!

it is a very rainy and gross Friday here in Kentucky! either way... happy Friday!   1. UK basketball that would be right, our final four game is tomorrow night! hoping we can pull this one off and if we do I hope we play florida again!   2. engagement shoot sunday I have an engagement shoot on sunday that I am looking forward to after having to reschedule it from last week due to all of this rainy weather!   3. long week it has been such an incredibly long week. there has been so much going on in my personal life as far as dealing with my friends death and some other things going on with my moms business. I am glad it is Friday & glad to have a night of nothing going on.   4. bright nails I went and got my nails redone last night. so happy spring is here so I am into the bright colors now! it makes me so happy.   5. horse shows next weekend is the first horse show of the year. not sure if I am ready yet or not but I am glad I will just be coaching :)    

 

weekend recap & new blog design!

 I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!!  friday was fantastic here in lexington if you watch basketball!  uk played a great game to get to the elite 8 & then played an amazing game today to make it to the final 4! I would love if the championship game was uk & florida! unfortunately on Friday afternoon I found out one of my friends committed suicide so it has been a rough weekend. the memorial is today after work so that is not going to be easy. other than that I spent my weekend hanging out with some friends!  nasty weather here on saturday but looking forward to warm weather this week! I also have redesigned my blog a bit if you haven't noticed..  I am really loving the feel of the new look!   here are some photos from the weekend!

oh what an awesome weekend!

long & exhausting but a lot of fun!

 

little miss ava was a rockstar on Saturday! she is only 3 & has only been ridden a handful of times recently.

made it to get pizza at goodfellas after they got done playing!
really fun night but super exhausting sunday after Saturday night!

and we were exhausted after the game was over.
that was the most stressful basketball game ever!!
onto playing our rival university of louisville on Friday!

and what makes it even better is we are getting warm weather for the next few days!!!

 

1. warmer weather
this is going to make this weekend so much better! however the mud that we are going to have from all of this snow melting is really going not be fun!

 

2. UK game

the last regular basketball game is tomorrow against florida at noon...

not sure how I feel about this but hopefully the boys can pull it off!

it's almost the weekend! nothing else needs to be said about that.

work has been insane this week!

 

4. school

my weekend will consist of some school work but we are almost done!

the light is at the end of the tunnel and I can start to see it finally!

 

5. prayers

please keep a fellow dressage rider friend of mine in your prayers this weekend.

she had a freak accident Wednesday morning and has suffered some trauma and a brain injury.

doctors are being optimistic about her recovery right now and waiting to do surgery.

 

 

the acoUstiKats...

the acoustic who, some people are asking this morning.... yes this would be the acoUstiKats...

if you watched the sing off last night you would have seen a group from the University of Kentucky called the acoUstiKats.

these guys are awesome & I just felt the need to write about them this morning since they are near & dear to my heart.

they have been described as southern charm with a whole lot of swag or Justin Timberlake meets Kentucky Fried Chicken.

they are awesome & they put everything they have into this group. 

most of the guys in the group came to UK to be in this group.

they were last to perform on the show last night & they did save the best for last!

goodness. it has been a long week. so thankful for friday!

one.

sick. I am over being sick. I am starting to feel better but this is ridiculous.

two.

cleaning. that seems to be my Saturday. well this happens to be because it has officially turned to fall in Kentucky. which also means that my closet still has summer clothes in it. so this weekend is the weekend to change them out & put winter clothes in. sweaters are my favorite!

speaking of sweaters I went to aerie last night and found these two cute things:

the sweater is super comfortable & I got the shirt in blue & it is really soft!

three.

UK basketball. need I say more? tonight is midnight madness here in the bluegrass.

I am not going this year but will certainly be watching it on tv.

four.

a weekend of nothing. it is nice to not really have anything to HAVE to do or anywhere I HAVE to be. things have been pretty non-stop for a while now so I am going to enjoy this weekend.

five.

editing. I do have some photo editing to do this weekend from the show last weekend. hopefully I can get that all knocked out & maybe go shoot some fall photos just for fun this weekend :)

this blogging thing...

I need some help with blogging. I feel like I am super horrible at it & I have no idea what to talk about!

my life pretty much revolves around the show circuit with the horses.

therefore I feel like I end up making everyone bored.

stop by and give me some advice. it would be greatly appreciated.

however on another note it feels like fall here in Kentucky.

it is amazing. my favorite time of year.

pumpkin, starbucks, sweaters, football and most of all basketball season.

the list goes on and on.
