a new kinda friday... oh hey friday!

so I woke up to a lovely little comment on my blog from Karli over at September Farm about her new Friday link up called oh hey friday! I am not gonna lie I love five on Friday & have kinda missed it. I completely understand why the girls took a break from it. I just happen to be one of those people who don't have a lot going on during the week other than work so I look forward to blogging on Fridays!   so here we go!    1. long week this has been an incredibly long, slow week with not a lot of sleep which makes me so glad it is Friday! however, with that being said, it is going to be a fantastic weekend.   2. next week next week is my birthday week & next Friday is my birthday so next Friday's link up will be amazing! next week is also our huge championship that we do at work so I get to see all of my friends from all over the country for a week which is slightly awesome!   3. live music the boys are playing this weekend & its their last gig as a full band until august. I haven't seen them since sometime in June. it feels like ages. we are going to sorta celebrate my birthday while everyone is in town tomorrow night so that will be fun :)   4. relaxing weekend it should be a nice, sort of, quiet weekend this weekend. something to look forward to. I won't have many of those here coming up soon. the fall gets crazy busy with horse shows & someone always being out of town.   5. photoshoot I have another photo shoot on sunday!! gotta finish up baby eli's photos so I can share them with you guys this weekend!    

long weekend....long gone...

I know I have been MIA over the weekend. it was more or less one of those things where I was incredibly busy but at the same time I kind of wanted to get away from the computer since that is all I do at work.   I was fortunate enough to have Thursday & Friday off of work last week, making for a long weekend! it was nice to have some time away from work & boy did we have some gorgeous weather!   I was quite busy over this long weekend but it was nice because it was doing things I enjoy! I had two photo shoots over the holiday.   one was this one below with Rachel & her horse cruise & there are some of the dog but I haven't gotten them fully edited yet.

  the other shoot I had was with newborn baby Eli! I spent the morning of the fourth of july at their home & I could not have found a better way to spend it!

  I also took a day trip with my mom up to Newport right across from Cincinnati on Saturday. my mom & I are together a lot because of the horses but we don't get to do much together outside of that. this weekend was really the last weekend we have where one of us isn't busy or out of town & I am working on my birthday next Friday & she is working that weekend. we had a blast! we went to the aquarium & had a wonderful lunch at a great seafood restaurant! here are a few photos until I can get the ones off my camera!  

 

 

weekend awesomeness & my best friend!

I would love to know when it flipped to july so quickly! this also means I turn another year older in a little over two weeks...eeeekk!   my weekend was full of awesomeness since my best friend & her boyfriend are in town for a few days! I am a horrible person because I don't have a ton of photos like I should... however I do have the photos from their session I did on Sunday to share!   we had a blast hanging out & catching up & going to our favorite restaurants! I must say... photographing your best friend isn't the easiest thing to do either!!   I get to hang out with them tomorrow night at our favorite brewery before they head back out of town. I will be so glad when she moves home in March for good!    

   

five on friday!

happy Friday! it is a cold Friday here! it is in the 50's! what is up with that?! crazy I say! I can't believe it! I was out at the barn this morning before work & freezing!   1. photoshoot Sunday I am shooting in Louisville on Sunday & am very excited about it! cannot wait to show you all!   2. new logo & watermark now that the new photography website is up... see here I am finishing up design with someone on the new watermark! I can't wait to show you all!   3. lunch on Saturday I have a lunch meeting tomorrow but it is at one of my favorite places from college that I don't get to go to very often any more so I am super excited about that!   4. horse show next week one of our biggest horse shows of the year for us is next week so if I go a little MIA from Wednesday on that would be why! I will try to post & have some great photos for you all... that is the goal :)   5. warmer weather I will be hoping for warmer weather over the weekend. I am over this cold spell we have had the past 48 hours. I have some friends at a show up close to Chicago and they said they have seen some snow!!!     

weekend recap!

this weekend was a tad bit crazy & busy!

we had super nice weather on Friday & Saturday!

yesterday was a bust as we currently have ice & a bit of snow on the ground :(
Friday evening I had a nice quiet night of nothing really. it was rather enjoyable.
Saturday morning I went to the barn and then did a shoot for a lady at the barn.

I also went to the camera store on Saturday which could have been super bad! however, I didn't buy anything, but I did find this lens that I want really bad!

Saturday night was spent at redmonds with the guys. the whole band was playing. so I hung out with them & shot some photos for them as well :)

 

a little country photoshoot...

I finally finished the photos from a senior session I did about two weeks ago & I wanted to share a few of them.

this was such a fun little country shoot, in a gorgeous little town where she lives.
it had this really sweet country feel & gorgeous scenery.

weekend shenanigans...

1. went to saul good for dinner with my best friend. they happened to have country boy beer on tap, it is a small, local brewery that some of my friends from college own so that was cool!

3. went out to the horse sales at Keeneland this weekend for a little while. it was a gorgeous day out.

got my fall clothes out of storage so I can clean my closet this week
new windshield wipers for my car...they are pretty awesome

I am so excited that today is Friday! this has been the slowest week ever!

one.
cool weather & pumpkin spice lattes! we had cool weather move in here to Kentucky today & I could not be more excited about it! I love sweaters & pumpkin spice lattes!

two.
newborn photo session tonight. yes that is right I have a newborn to photograph after work tonight & I am very excited nervous about it! baby emma was born on Saturday so she is almost a week old & a bundle of joy! I cannot wait to do her photos & meet her tonight.

three.
keeneland. if you live in Kentucky you know all about this. the yearling sales are going on right now out there which is always a fun time to go see some million dollar horses. I am gonna go out there & visit my friends from three chimneys farm on Saturday & take a few photos for them :)

best friend time tonight! my best friend is back from California & only home for a little bit before she leaves on her next adventure. girls dinner tonight after my newborn session :)

a weekend of just catching up & not having a horse show. this almost never happens so I am so excited about it! catch up on editing a senior session from two weeks ago, baby photos & photos from the show last weekend!

labor day weekend was good just busy with the horse show this week/weekend & I have finally started seminar for my masters degree! almost done!
